Health & Wellness
The ‘Sante Se Lavi’ (Health is Life) program provides important health information and resources in Haitian Kreyol. The acute need for this program was especially apparent as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which disproportionately impacted the Black community of Central Brooklyn. The program has utilized a multi-modal strategy that includes virtual programming, social media posts, and streams to local radio stations.
We develop culturally responsive, patient-centered health materials to mitigate barriers and empower our target community. The vision is to build the capacity of the local healthcare infrastructure and community-based organizations to serve this particularly marginalized community. This is a program as diverse as the community we serve with a focus on women's health. SISE PA NOU SE KIYES.
